Learning To Read and Write Impacts Every Area of The Curriculum; It Is the Foundation for All Learning!

Is Your Child Struggling with Reading? Trust Your Instincts! Don’t Wait!

Remember, nothing improves self-esteem more than reading success!

Learning to read can be difficult for some, however, using a structured literacy program will improve their reading skills

Here at The Reading Clinic, we know that the most difficult part for parents can come at that early stage when you are trying to determine whether your child needs extra support. Let us help.

As a part of our services, an expert Literacy Interventionist will complete a comprehensive reading assessment that will provide us with a baseline to assist in identifying gaps in your child’s learning. Based on the assessment and discussion with you regarding your child’s strengths and weaknesses, we will make recommendations and determine the best possible program(s) to accelerate your child’s learning.

“Early intervention is critical. When early intervention is delayed, it takes four times as long to intervene in fourth grade as it does in late kindergarten because of brain development, and because of the increase in content for students to learn as they grow older.”

“Our son Jacob was in grade 2 and was failing all his subjects because he had a reading disorder known as dyslexia. We tried many tutoring companies but saw no progress. As parents, it was extremely frustrating not being able to help our child. Then we found Mrs. Mouawad and have been forever grateful that we did. We saw progress immediately. Her program helped my son progress to the point where he was reading at grade level with his peers. He gained so much confidence in his reading and writing, but above all, he loved going to see her because she made it fun. We are forever grateful for the program and the opportunity to have met such a kind person who truly cares about the success of all her students.”

Tabitha Smith, Mother

“I was referred to Mrs. Mouawad by a friend. My daughter was having trouble with reading and struggling with school. From the moment I met Mrs. Mouawad, it was obvious that she had a passion for helping kids learn. Mrs. Mouawad genuinely cares for each child and seeks to help parents find the means to help children thrive. In our case, we were working on identifying the cause of my daughter’s learning and emotional problems. Mrs. Mouawad was instrumental in helping us get to the correct specialist who could finally diagnose what was going on. Her program was vital in helping my daughter work on her reading skills and build her self-confidence. She now absolutely loves reading and is thriving at school with the needed support.

Thanks.”

“We were so lucky to have Mrs. Mouawad teach our son at the Reading Clinic. The program she used was perfect for our son. He has dyslexia, and by the time he was diagnosed, he was behind his peers and worse, he knew it. The program changed not only his abilities to sound out words, read, and write but also his confidence. Thank you for giving my son his confidence back. He is an entirely different young man with the confidence to read around his peers.”

“Caring, Confident and Committed, are three words that as a parent you would like your child’s teacher to demonstrate as you send your child off in their capable hands. But you never planned on being told that your child needs "immediate help for reading as he doesn’t even know his letters, in grade 3”. So with tears in your eyes, you look at her and say, “what do we do, where do we turn for help” and with caring eyes, she says “I will get in touch with a teacher who knows just what to do for our son to get the help he needs.” And this is where his journey began with Mrs. Mary-Anne Mouawad, founder of The Reading Clinic. Off we went to get the extra help he needed, one-on-one learning. The program and the style of teaching Mrs. Mouawad presents is with confidence and success! Our son started to sound out letters, words then eventually reading words, sentences, and then paragraphs. Mrs. Mouawad understands and is committed to teaching children/ adults to read, and she isn’t in it for anything other than the satisfaction and the joy it brings to their faces when they start to read; her program works! We know our son has a long journey ahead of him with lots of different paths to take. Mrs. Mouawad, you are a BIG step along that journey. So when Jonah graduates from high school (a feat that studies say is 4x harder for him than his neurotypical peers), know that we want YOU to be standing there beside us as we hug his neck and cheer him on!

Thank you for your Caring, Confident and Committed attitude!.”
