DAY 1 - LESSON PLAN and TEACHER PROMPTS
Day 1 - Lesson plans encompass skills needed to teach struggling readers. It includes teacher prompts for step-by-step, hands-on, manipulative activities to walk you through a new concept tied to the scope and sequence of students’ individual needs. Each lesson reviews previous skills taught, the Reading Clinic Orthographic Mapping Deck and then moves onto a new concept, including letter-sound knowledge, blending, decoding, writing both words and sentences, a related decodable text, fluency, comprehension. Lesson plans can take from 30-45 minutes to complete, preferably 2+ times per week.
