DAY 2 - RED WORD LESSON PLAN and TEACHER PROMPTS
Day 2 - Lesson Plans encompass skills needed to teach struggling readers and follow Day 1 Lesson Plans. It includes teacher prompts for step-by-step, hands-on, manipulative activities, as well as a script for teaching a new concept, Red/Heart Word, tied to the Scope and Sequence. Each lesson reviews previous skills taught, the Reading Clinic Orthographic Mapping Deck and then moves on to a new concept red/heart word scripted instruction, including writing both words and sentences, a related decodable text, fluency, comprehension. Lesson plans can take from 30-45 minutes to complete, preferably 2+ times per week.
